No War for Profit: A Statement Against U.S. Intervention in Venezuela
Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters Statement on Venezuela
Once again, the people of the United States are witnessing our federal government act outside the bounds of the U.S. Constitution and in direct violation of international law. These actions do not represent freedom or democracy — they reflect the behavior of a rogue state operating through force, coercion, and imperial ambition.
For decades, U.S. leadership has repeatedly jeopardized global stability by initiating wars and conflicts driven not by human rights or self-defense, but by corporate interests, control of natural resources, and geopolitical dominance. From Vietnam to the Middle East to Iraq, we have seen military power deployed to secure oil, precious metals, and profit — at devastating human cost.
Venezuela possesses these same resources. That reality does not grant the United States any right — moral, legal, or political — to invade a sovereign nation, abduct its leadership, threaten its people, or attempt to impose military occupation. Such actions mirror the very forms of aggression the U.S. claims to oppose elsewhere in the world.
Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters unequivocally reject any U.S. military intervention in Venezuela. We call on the United States Congress to immediately:
Reject and defund any military occupation or intervention
Withdraw all U.S. military forces from Venezuelan territory and territorial waters
Reassert congressional authority to prevent unconstitutional acts of war
We further condemn the continued misuse of the Monroe Doctrine, which has been distorted and weaponized to justify imperial violence against sovereign nations in the Western Hemisphere. This doctrine has no legitimate place in the 21st century.
We stand in full solidarity with the people of Venezuela and their right to self-determination, national sovereignty, and freedom from foreign coercion. We support international legal intervention and accountability, including investigation and prosecution through international courts for any violations of international law committed by U.S. officials.
Finally, we call upon Congress to investigate, indict, impeach, and remove from power any individuals within the administration who participated in or authorized these illegal actions in violation of both U.S. and international law.
Peace, sovereignty, and justice are not optional principles.
They are obligations.
Sincerely,
Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters
